Lavender & Blackberry Bramble
What’s a Bramble?
A bramble is traditionally lemon, simple syrup, blackberries, sparkling water, and gin/vodka. I made some fresh lavender lemonade the other day and thought it might be fun to replace the lemon juice and simple syrup with my own lemonade. And thus the Lavender & Blackberry Bramble was born!
Like most things, it’s our take on a classic!
Alcohol Recommendations
Your alcohol of choice can make or break your cocktail because of the flavours(and burns) they carry. For cocktails, you generally want something strong and relatively flavourless. And it would great if it didn’t break the bank! That’s why we’ve compiled a list for you of our favourites, but please be aware that anything with a * we will get a commission from if you make your purchase through our links.
These below are my gins and vodkas of choice, especially for this type of floral drink. I prefer using gin because it’s heavily infused with botanicals to begin with. Enjoy responsibly!
Tanqueray London Dry Gin* -$24
Tanqueray is a Gateway Gin: it’s relatively inexpensive while still being a fairly high quality product. It’s dry and perfect for cocktails
Bowling & Burch Gin* - $41
This is my special occasion gin, even though it’s not the most expensive or specialty gin out there. I really like the taste and body of it, and I think it makes a damn good cocktail. Besides that, my background in product design makes good packaging my absolute kryptonite.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka* - $26
Everyone knows Tito’s as a pretty cheap vodka option that’s still a huge step above brands like Smirnoff. I recommend getting this if you actually want to enjoy your drink and don’t want to spend a ton.
